Implant retained dentures to give you the freedom to smile and chew, without the worry that your dentures will slip out of place.

Implant retained dentures: at a glance

  • Custom made dentures anchored firmly in place with implants.
  • Significantly better chewing ability than with traditional dentures.
  • Completely natural-looking results.
  • Easy to maintain.

What are implant retained dentures?

Implant retained dentures are dentures that have been stabilised in place with implants. They’re fixed in position, which means worrying about your dentures becoming loose when you’re going about your day will become a thing of the past.

We highly recommend implant retained dentures for patients who are tired of wearing loose and uncomfortable dentures. They’re also an excellent solution for patients who come to us with several missing teeth.

Your confidence restored with implant retained dentures

We know just how impactful feeling self-conscious about your teeth can be. From the moment your dentures are fitted, you will be able to go out into the world without the worry of people noticing gaps in your smile.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be able to eat a normal diet again with my implant retained dentures?

Yes. This is one of the best things about treatment. Tough and chewy foods will no longer be off the menu, as your new teeth will enable you to eat completely normally.

How do you make my dentures look and feel natural?

Taking measurements and digital photos and scans of your teeth allows for a fantastic natural-looking outcome. Everything from your tooth shade, the tooth-to-tooth and tooth-to-gum ratio, and shape and size of each tooth will be considered when we create your dentures. The modern materials we have at our disposal are virtually identical to real tooth enamel in tone and texture. We have a great relationship with our lab technician and work closely together, with yourself included, to ensure you are happy with the appearance of the denture.

Does treatment involve surgery?

Yes. Placing implants involves going under local anaesthetic. Our in-house implantologist offers the option of sedation with all implant treatments, which can be beneficial in helping you to relax throughout the process.

Once your implants are placed, your jaw will need time to heal. After the 3 to 6-month healing time, we can start the exciting part – creating and fitting your new set of teeth.

In some cases where patients don’t have enough bone in their jaw for implant placement, we can graft new bone that will later support the implants.
